On 5th of May Israeli Air Forces carried out an air raid over to prevent Hizbollah’s next strike to its borders through the Syrian territory. The mass media claims that, military jets had destroyed a military center and a party of missile rockets around the Damascus, district Jamrayya. Israeli authorities refused to give a statement about air raid to neighborhood country. According to Russia Today (RT) the prime aim of military jets was to attack headquarters of Presidential Guards and Syrian Intelligence Service. In total, 8-12 heavy bombs were dumped to Damascus.
Since 5th of May Israeli authorities had banned all the flights and closed the airports.
After this issue, Ministry of Defense determined to turn the two missile defense rocket systems Iron Dome in direction of Haifa and Safad cities, which were exposed to rocket strikes by Hizbollah during the Lebanese war in 2006. Now, Haifa is looking for to ensuring city safety from any rocket raid from the Syrian territory.
In Syria, militants are not ideal too. Due to the latest news in Jerusalem Post, Syrian Defense Ministry aimed the Israel missiles along the borders. Source for such kind news was an interview of the senior representative of Assad regime to the Lebanese TV. Earlier the minister of information of Syria Omran Zoabi has warned, “Rocket attack opened the doors for any opportunities”.
Actions of Syria were criticized by official Tehran and Beirut.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, attack conducts to undermining security and stability of the Middle East region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran called for strengthening of unity and solidarity of the countries of the region in opposition to the Israeli threats, and the Minister of Defense of Iran Ahmad Wahidi condemned the Israeli aggression.
The Lebanese politicians, parties and the organizations also expressed solidarity with SAR. The president of Lebanon Michel Suleiman demanded from the world community, in particular, from UNSC to take strict measures concerning an aggressor.
It was more than a full day since Israeli fighter-bombers tore through the skies over Syria to blow a Syrian research center to smithereens killing and wounding several people in full violation of international law. Despite hundreds of worldwide reports naming the Israeli air force in the attack UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon still had not issued any reaction by noon on Thursday. What happened is that a research center outside of Damascus was hit killing two people according to Syrian officials. While the UN was “considering what’s happened” Russia China -Iran and others spoke out condemning the Israeli airstrike with the Russians calling it an “unjustified assault” and a “blatant violation of the UN Charter.”
Israel has taken the opportunity to attack Syria safe in the knowledge that Damascus’ commitment to fighting FSA insurgents means they won’t be able to retaliate, illustrating once again the symbiotic relationship between Israel and Al-Qaeda terrorists. “The new Israeli attack is an attempt to raise the morale of the terrorist groups which have been reeling from strikes by our noble army,” said Syrian TV in response to the attack, adding that the assault was “coordinated with terrorists.”
By launching attacks that weaken and distract Damascus from its focus on defeating western-backed insurgents, Israel is aiding the very same rebels who have burned Israeli flags in public and vowed to crush the Zionist regime once they are finished toppling Bashar Al-Assad.
Israel’s attack on Syria again highlights the fact that Al-Qaeda is an organization under the control of the United States and Israel which is used to destabilize Israel’s enemies in the region. Not only has Israel supported Al-Qaeda-led rebels in Syria, even setting up field hospitals for injured fighters, but back in 2002 Israel was caught actually creating an Al-Qaeda group in order to justify attacks on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Another most influential country of the Middle East, Egypt also expressed its anxiety over the air strikes. In a statement, Egypt’s presidency said the attack was a violation of international law and a threat to regional security and stability that “made the situation more complicated”.
Egypt’s Islamist leaders came to power last year after a popular uprising in 2011 and have been critical of the Syrian government’s efforts to put down an insurgency that erupted weeks after Egypt’s street revolt.
Although Egypt stood opposed to the Damascus government’s use of military force against its people, it also rejected “the attack on Syrian assets (and) the violation of Syria’s sovereignty”, the statement said.
Syria’s Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said Sunday that the strike at Syria overnight represented a “declaration of war” by Israel. Russian and Iranian media earlier predicted full-scale Middle East hostilities involving Israel erupting in the coming hours, in the wake of Israel’s renewed strikes against Iranian missiles bound for Hizballah and other targets around Damascus. Russian sources reported rumors that President Bashar Assad was on the point of declaring war on Israel.
